Equine Assisted Therapy

Equine-Assisted Learning is available for a range of ages and needs – we specialise in working with horses, ponies and other livestock to facilitate educational needs within a safe environment.

There are times when we all face challenges, fears and emotional blockages in life.  Equine therapy is a tool to explore these areas and look for positive ways to navigate through life's concerns.  We can spend time looking at your emotional and mental well-being.

Our centre offers sessions for children, young people and adults through self referral or as part of an educational health care plan (ECHP).

The centre is a place where people can be at one with nature whilst developing soft skills such as self-confidence, self esteem, problem solving and exploring communication skills through interaction on the ground with ponies and the natural environment.

Animal Interaction Sessions

For clients that do not wish to ride, animal interaction sessions are available and tailored to each individual.
We have many animals at the centre including, alpacas, sheep, donkeys and goats!

PonyWise

PonyWise is where children learn that having a pony is not all just about riding!

They learn how to look after the pony, how to tack up, what different parts of the horse are called and much more. We believe a more holistic approach to horsemanship makes for a better, more confident rider.

PonyWise is our unique way of learning whilst having fun. Children will be awarded certificates as they work through the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Some of our certificates also offer the opportunity to learn about some of the other animals we have at the centre – including our goats, sheep and alpacas – as well as gaining an understanding of the natural environment they live in.

 Signposting Service

Here at the centre we work with a variety of service providers and companies. We are able to recommend and point you in the direction of other services that may be able to support your family and their needs.
